Privacy & cookies

This page covers SiteBarista’s own site — the pages you are on now. A website we have built for a customer is that business’s site, not ours, and this notice does not cover it.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics to see which pages are useful — nothing more specific than page views and where visitors came from. It only runs if you click Accept on the banner at the bottom of the screen, and it never runs before that. If you click Reject, or leave the banner alone, no analytics cookie is set and nothing is sent to Google.

If you do accept, Google sets a small number of cookies (typically named_gaand_ga_*) that can last up to two years, to tell repeat visits apart from new ones. See Google’s own privacy policy for what Google does with that data.

Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage, not a cookie of its own. You can change it any time — scroll to the bottom of any page and use Cookie preferences in the footer.

Nothing else on this site sets a cookie. No advertising, no third-party trackers, no cross-site pixels.

The enquiry form on this site

If you use the form to request a demo, we collect what you type in it — typically your name, email, phone number, business name, town and message. We use it for exactly one thing: to get back to you about what you asked for. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for anything else.

It is stored in our database until we no longer need it to answer you or keep a record of the conversation. Ask us and we will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it.

If we have found your business and got in touch

Before we ever contact a business, we look up what it does, where it is, and how to reach it — usually from its own website, Google, or a public business listing, never bought from anyone. We hold that until either you reply, or we decide not to contact you again and remove it.

Reply to say you would rather we did not contact you, and we will stop — and add you to a do-not-contact list so a fresher copy of the same directory does not have us ringing again next quarter believing we have never heard of you. That entry is the one thing we do not delete on request, because deleting it is exactly how that happens.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop processing it. Email hello@sitebarista.com and we will get back to you.

Changes

If what this site collects changes, this page changes with it — it is written from the code, not aside from it.
